This is an original landscape painting of the covered bridge at Downers in Weathersfield Vermont. The covered bridge spans the Black River which flows from Plymouth, through Ludlow, Cavendish and Proctorsville to this viewpoint. The painting is seen from the center of the river in early Autumn when the leaves are just starting to turn. We are looking down stream towards Springfield where the river joins with the mighty Connecticut River.
